Use the internet to search for contracts. There are a number of online job boards such as CWJobs and Jobserve. Recruitment agencies post their latest vacancies on these sites.
When you find a contract you like the sound of you can send your CV to the agency advertising via the site. It might be a good idea to follow up shortly after with a phone call to the agency; it shows you’re keen and may get you noticed for an interview. Stay ahead!
Keep looking – there may be several similar roles so make sure you apply for them all and this could improve your chances of finding that perfect contract. Most of the job boards will allow you to upload your CV to the site which means the agencies can then access it and contact you directly if they have something for you. In some cases there is a freelance job alert service so sign up and you’ll be notified every time a role that matches your search criteria becomes available.
If you can access agency details online why not send your CV to them directly so that they can keep you on file and should a suitable role come up they can contact you.
