| The battle of freelancing projects are won
or lost within a moment. And this depends on the first impression you
leave on the buyer with the project description. Remember that not
everyone automatically accepts the lowest bid " most buyers are more
open to a person who is able to convince them that he is the
appropriate person for the job. Basics of Good
Description
A good description includes the qualities such as:
accuracy, detail, good presentation etc.
Be Detailed:
- For instance if you are responding
to a $100+ project with a description: "It can be done; just choose
me". There are chances you lose the
project. If the buyer is spending $100 or
above, then he/she will expect a detailed
response. The ideais to show the buyer that you are
interested in the project and remember to discuss the project with the
buyer via private message boards while placing your bid.
Clean
Presentation: - Your description and
the way you present it reflect your style. Present your description in
a professional manner. Present it in Positive Light, Remember not to
use negative, demanding, or even strong words such as you must, I
won't, you will, etc. This may give the buyer an
impression that you're very demanding. Remember
buyers prefer to choose a freelancer who is easy to work with.
Follow
the Directions: - You should follow
the directions in the project description. For instance, if the buyer
has asked for a sample of your work in the project description then you
should provide one. If you don't provide it than chances
are you will lose the project! In addition
this might give the buyer an impression that you have problem following
instruction.
Recommended Description Format:
- A recommended
description format is provided below: 1st

Sir, Hello, Name or screen name of the buyer.
